¿Can I race in the XChallenge?

Xchallenge is an open race , you only have to be at least 18 years old in 2008.Athletes without a license get a one day license included in the entry fee , it´s your insurance for the race.

¿What´s my age group?

Age group is determined by the year , not your birth date. So if you´re 40 years old in September you´ll race under "Veterano I" (+40) category.

¿What´s the entry deadline ?

23rd of April. Entries will close before if the limited slots are covered.

What time does the race start?

XChallenge race starts at 10:00 a.m. triathlon and duathlon together.

Box area opens 1h before , at 9:00 a.m.

Race numbers from 9:00 a.m. at the race venue.

What will the weather be like?

May´s weathershould be nice , temperatures will be between 20º to 26º C .

Are wetsuits permitted?

Yes. Water temperature around 20º-21º C.

Are there cut-off times?

Yes. That makes it more challenging .Don´t worry nobody has missed these times.

Swim+bike cut-off: 4h15´. You won´t be able to run after this time.

How is the race start ?

Beach start , duathletes and triathletes together but heading to different directions !!

How will the reca results be?

There will be a global race classification for the Xchallenge , that means triathlon and duathlon together.

But then it will be also 2 different ones , triathlon and duathlon , for different awards.

Can I do the course before ?

Sure. In our website we´ll be anouncing the dates in which we´ll go around the race course. But also feel free to send us an email (info@bigsurevents.es) if you wish to go on a certain date .

Bike course is very technical?

Not for 90% of it. You have some places that you may have to walk for a few meters because of the steep hills. Downhills aren´t dangerous though but drive it safe.

What time does the X-Kids start?

Just after the finish of the Xchallenge swim/run , around 11:00 a.m. It will have different starts for the different age categories.
